Port O'Conner Gulf Side Residence 2004

This new Gulf Coast home, designed by Houston’s Eubanks Architects, was constructed in 2004.  Built on the Waterfront, the Beach Home had to be both practical and presentable for the Client’s needs.  Beverly chose easy to maintain and durable materials, to satisfy this need.
The Mediterranean Style dictated the white washed stucco walls; Beverly saw the need for some color.  She chose subtle hues of Blue as reflected in the Gulf of Mexico views from the Living Areas.  Spanish and Italian reproduction furniture, and the Antiquities chosen by the client and architect from a trip to the Mediterranean are complimentary to the whole project.

”I Love when clients want to incorporate their travels in a design scheme. There is so much to learn from traveling in the world.  I love to travel.

: The Dining Room Jacobean chairs are covered in a durable sea foam blue fabric. The diamond sisal carpeting with a wide linen border contrasts with the dark oak floors and furniture. The chandelier is a find from Spain.

The Living Room continues the color scheme of soft blues, natural fibers, and dark woods. The antique marble mantle surround from Italy, accentuates the cathedral trussed ceiling. The louvered shutters diffuse the harsh coastal light, while allowing views of the gulf seaside.
