Beverly Jacomini |
everly Jacomini, a native Gulf Coast Texan, studied interior design and art at the University of Texas, in Austin. After college, Beverly apprenticed with renowned Houston designer, Herbert Wells. In 1968, she struck out on her own, starting Beverly S. Jacomini Design. A prestigious design job took her to London, where she met up with old friends, Katrin (née Tolleson) Cargill and Richard Holley, also interior designers. One thing led to another, and Beverly, Richard, and Katrin become business partners.
In 1978 the partnership of Jacomini, Holley, & Tolleson was formed. The team flourished in design in oil rich Houston. In 1981, Beverly went forward to open a retail shop specializing in “chic” country accessories, antiques and interiors. Simply named 'Jacomini', the business expanded and thrived.
Beverly is currently principal in her own design firm, Jacomini Design, Inc. Beverly's projects, commercial and residential have taken her to London, Mexico City, Bermuda, Aspen, Austin, Captiva Island, Greenwich, Lexington (Kentucky), Nantucket, San Francisco, and Santa Fe. Beverly has had her work published in Interior Design, House Beautiful, Better Homes & Gardens, Southern Accents, Country Home, Veranda, and others.
